Yes it is true and there ain’t; nothing I can do about it. Time is marching forward despite my lack of approval. I remember not too long ago I was just a kid jumping in the mud and conversing with imaginary friends. All of a sudden my oldest sister is getting married. May I ask whatever happened to all that time in between? Now my other sister and my mom are planning a bridal shower for her and I’m not even invited. Funny how I’m still expected to get her wedding party gifts anyway. I was never good at picking presents but I knew it was important this time around; even if I wasn’t invited. I don’t even want to go to something so stupid anyway. I swear.
In making sure I am the best brother I can be I had to give a lot of thought about the gift I would give my sister. I started my search at what can easily be considered hell on earth; the mall. The mall is equal to the sixth circle of hell for many reasons. Everything is doomed to be overpriced, the selection is usually insidiously crappy and the crowds of people are always a hellish throng of evil demon children and their care takers. I would seriously rather spend a day with the pain monster over shopping at the mall.
As soon as I failed at the mall I requested advice from my friends on the subject. Obviously no one had anything good to say so I went on to plan B; the Internet. Shopping on the Internet is way better than shopping at the mall because I don’t have to wait on lines or interact with the public in the slightest. It’s hard though when you don’t have any good ideas and you’re browsing aimlessly.
Finally my younger sister let me in on an idea to get her as solid wedding party gifts. The website was I am a stuffed animal. After checking it out I knew certainly that’s what I would get for my eldest sibling.
Next time you need to give a gift for any reason whether it be for a birthday, holiday or even a wedding party think about giving a stuffed animal of yourself. They are inexpensive and a great and original idea for anyone who has trouble coming up with presents.
